I was born and raised in Dayton Ohio. I went to high school at Stivers. I have an A.S. degree in electronics from Rets Tech Center in Centerville and I have studied Mechanical Engineering at Sinclair.
I have been in building maintenance (property management) for about 40 years. In the 70s I got into taking care of high rise office buildings and have worked in most of the tall office towers in downtown Dayton.
I have worked for private and public property management companies: Danis, Grubb & Ellis, Jones Lang Lasalle, CBRE, Schneider Electric, Semiens, Galbreath, NCR Country Club, Moraine Country Club, and Lexis Nexus.
The first 15 years I was maintenance service tech. I was promoted to a chief engineer (maintenance supervisor) and supervised for the next 25 years.
I have been happily married to my great friend (Pam Shively) for the past 24 years and we live in Kettering. My wife has worked in the legal field for 25 years as a legal secretary and also covers many paralegal duties as well.
I have many different hobbies and my current passion is wood carving. I am also a clay potter and like to fish. My wife and I really enjoy working in the yard together and biking as well.
