The journey of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, a time to consider who we are and who God calls us to be. This year, both a soup supper and a worship service will take place in the Christian Fellowship Center (CFC) around tables in the shape of a cross.
After enjoying a light, simple meal of soup and bread, we will remain at the table for a time of worship that will include the renewal of baptismal vows and the sharing of Communion. Ashes will be available for those who would like them. Your Worship Team is supplying the soup, but we could use some volunteers to bring 7 or 8 loaves of different types of bread. It can be pumpernickel, Irish soda bread, rye, sourdough, or any other kind that you choose. It doesn’t matter if you buy it or make it. If you are bringing bread, please contact Lynn to let her know what kind you will bring. Please deliver the loaves of bread to the kitchen no later than 5:30 p.m. so that we can slice it. We hope you will join us for this meaningful time of worship and fellowship.
