Melanie is an energetic, creative, fun, and talented person who is passionate about children and youth. Melanie loves working with teens, and she is excited about the opportunity to be a part of continuing to offer a fun and inclusive environment for them at this church. She enjoys creating a welcoming and engaging space for all children and youth who choose to participate, and she likes to plan fun activities for the community and for families.

Melanie is from Pennsylvania. She went to the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations, with a secondary degree in Criminal Justice. During her first few years out of college in Pennsylvania, she worked as an Adult Lead Parole Officer. She then met her husband, who was starting his career in the military.  Now, he is a Colonel, and they have been married for twenty years. Their three children are ages 18,15, and 10.

Through the years, Melanie has accumulated countless hours of planning, volunteering, organizing, and creating activities and events for her children in many different areas, serving as homeroom mom for all three children, Girl Scout leader, youth leader, and volleyball coach, to name a few.

She is also a fitness enthusiast and coach. Melanie owns her own small fitness business helping adults, teens, and children stay active and fit. She is very involved in fostering dogs in the Dayton area and enjoys going on rescue missions to help stray, abandoned, or abused animals.
