Grief Group

“Christ led fellowship, support and information for a grief journey.” The next Soup Group gathering will be this Thursday, February 21 at 12:00 p.m. in the Coffee Corner. Please bring your own lunch and I will bring hot drinks for everyone. Accidental Saints Discussion Group

We will be reading and discussing the book Accidental Saints: Finding God in All the Wrong People by Nadia Bolz-Weber. We will be focusing on the first two chapters at the first meeting in January and will continue on the first and third Tuesday each month until we finish the book.

Blanket Sunday

As you all know, this has been a year of devastating floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and now this bitter cold weather. The cold is hard on all of us, but for those who are without warm clothing, blankets, and some without electricity and heat, it is disastrous. Monies go first for disaster relief, which includes blankets, food, shelter, and safe water. They then provide emergency clean-up…

Officer Financial Visioning Retreat

Elders and Deacons will be having a retreat for the purpose of looking at our finances and budget as well as brainstorming about some major fundraisers and making plans to carry them out. Please bring your own lunch and drink. We will meet in the CFC. 

Church Tour

Join Steve Davis for a tour of the church, following Worship. Meet him at the Welcome Center. The tour will take about 45 minutes.

Volunteers needed: Presbytery of Miami Valley Meeting

Southminster has agreed to host the Presbytery of Miami Valley on Saturday, February 9. The average attendance of clergy, elders, Presbytery staff, and visitors is over 100 for the meeting and around 60 for the luncheon. This is an opportunity to offer hospitality to our neighbors in Christ, and it will take a lot of volunteers! So far, we have identified 35 volunteer positions…
