CrossRoads Parking Lot Build

SOUTHMINSTER SEMI-ANNUAL PARKING LOT BUILD

This twice annual mission event, hosted by Southminster Presbyterian Church in conjunction with CrossRoads Missions, is a three-day labor-of-love which provides a complete house frame for those in need in our community and is rooted in our current vision statement… To be the head, heart and hands of Jesus Christ, driven by God’s love for our church and the world beyond.

Through direct support of our congregation and with tireless work to secure additional grants, Southminster supplies all consumable materials (nails, lumber, etc.) and funds the transportation of the completed frame to the work site.

With the proper support we may look to increase this program to three events per calendar year.

The first day of the event includes the separation/cutting of the rough lumber and is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. The second and third days include the frame assembly, house blessing, frame deconstruction and loading of frame for transport.

If you wish to be part of the current or future leadership team, or have any questions regarding this program, please reach out to our church office at 937-433-1810 for contact information.

Our Next Parking Lot Build… September 22th -24th 2017

Our next build is coming soon!! As with previous builds, all ages may participate in this mission event on Saturday and Sunday (SEP 23rd and 24th) to swing a hammer, serve food or offer support and prayer. On Friday, (SEP 22nd) anyone over the age of 18 is invited to haul and cut lumber.

Southminster Parking Lot Build: Alternative Support

So, you’re not a candidate for host of “This Old House”…don’t be discouraged. There are other ways to participate in this mission event other than cutting lumber and swinging a hammer. Can you serve food, offer prayer, etc.? We need you!!

If you wish to help continue this mission project through financial sponsorship, please contact one of our group leaders: Robert Fyffe, Stephen Albright, Kevin Dickson or Bill Barlow.
