Starting on October 19th, and continuing every third Wednesday of the month, SPC offers a free meal from 6 - 7 p.m. in the CFC. The meal is open to everyone, and is followed by a children's program from 6:30-7:30. Come for a meal, and stick around for a game of cards or dominoes, read a magazine, or enjoy casual conversation.

Missions we support locally:

The Castle- We donate food towards lunch on the last Sunday of each month. If you would like to help you can contact Maggie Jones.

House of Bread - Volunteers go to House of Bread on a Tuesday to help prepare and serve lunch every other month of the year. Carolyn Kennedy is the coordinator for volunteers and can answer any questions.

Dayton Urban Ministries - Our relationship with Dayton Urban Ministries continues with financial contributions, we also have the children attend a “Trunk or Treat” in October.
We also encourage tutors for the children from the congregation. Call the church office if you are interested in this mission.

Habitat for Humanity - We contribute financially and will work at the site this summer. If you have interest please contact Stephen Albright.

Southeast Food Pantry -The food pantry, known as FISH Southeast serves people in Centerville, Washington Township, and the southern portion of Kettering who are in need of immediate food assistance. Phone volunteers monitor and screen calls Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from their homes. Delivery volunteers select enough food in the pantry to provide a family with fifteen meals, purchase fresh food, and deliver the food to the family. In 2007 the pantry served 18,180 meals to 1,212 individuals. The first Sunday of the month a barrel for nonperishable food and monetary donations is placed in the narthex. We also support Campus Crusades in Florida.
