The Gift of the Arts

Music and the arts are among God’s greatest gifts! At the Southminster Academy of Music and Arts, we want to encourage the appreciation and development of these gifts.

Philosophy

Our purpose is to provide a quality arts education in a safe environment for diverse children and adults. Our program is designed to maximize the student’s potential with the goal of equipping each individual for future service in performance, worship, and personal enjoyment.

Schedule

Individual lesson times are scheduled at the convenience of the teacher and student. Group lessons will be scheduled as needed.

Tuition

Tuition is determined on an individual basis by the instructor in consultation with the student or student’s parents. Payment is to be made directly to the instructor.

KinderMusik

For children from birth to 7 years, focusing on music activities that stress whole child development. Click here for more information.

Group Lessons

Praise Band 101

Includes: How to sing in a praise band, how to play keyboard in a praise band (for beginners through the classically trained), and how to lead a praise band.

Recitals

Formal recitals will be held by each instructor in accordance with the readiness of their students. Recitals afford students the necessary opportunity to perform in a public setting and allow family and friends to see how each student is progressing.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty are selected on the basis of their professional expertise, and are degreed in their area or have equivalent performance experience.
