Learning in Community

As people who have accepted the invitation to a worshipful relationship with God, we naturally want to learn more about what God is like and what God expects of us. We learn these things through the study of the Bible, and by learning together what it means to follow Jesus Christ.

At Southminster, we believe that learning to follow Jesus is best accomplished in the context of Christian community. Jesus gathered disciples to learn from him in a small group of twelve. We help people to learn and grow in their walk with God through small Growth Groups in which people gather for study, prayer, fellowship, mutual care and discussion. Perhaps the greatest gift of these groups is the way they help us put into practice Jesus’ commandment that we love one another. We offer multiple Growth Groups during three trimesters each year.

We learn in community at every age, from children through adults. To learn more about learning opportunities at Southminster, click the appropriate link below.
