About Reverend Eric Pasanchin

Pastor Eric Pasanchin was born and raised in rural New Jersey, the only child of Joseph and Doris Pasanchin. Although his family was Roman Catholic, Eric became a protestant during his first year in college. For the next several years, he devoted himself to the study of scripture, and graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in religion. Eric's passion for serving God led him to enter seminary, where he discerned a strong sense of calling to the ordained ministry He received his Master Of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992. After seminary, Eric moved to Ohio, where he joined the Presbyterian Church (USA), was ordained by the Presbytery of the Western Reserve, and accepted his first call in the small town of Minerva.

It was in Minerva that Eric met future wife Karisa, and her daughter, Aria. Eric and Karisa were married in January of 1998. Aria Boyd is Karisa's daughter from her first marriage, and Eric's stepdaughter. The Pasanchins are a close-knit family, who thrive on spending time together and supporting each other through the challenges of life.

Eric plays the guitar and drums, and enjoys both Christian contemporary music as well as "classic rock." He likes reading suspense/mystery novels, going to restaurants, and cooking. The food network is his favorite TV channel. Karisa is a professional musician with a B.A. in Music from Malone College. She is a talented soprano, pianist and organist and has spent much of her life providing music in churches, and giving private piano and voice lessons. Upon relocating to the Centerville area, she plans on enrolling in a local University to earn a Masters degree in counseling. Aria loves to work on web-site design, and is a big fan of Anime (a Japanese form of animation). She plays the flute and the piano. Eric, Karisa and Aria all love their cats, and take great pleasure in playing with them.

Since leaving Ohio, the Pasanchin family has lived in the Indianapolis, Indiana and Rochester, New York areas, where Eric has served churches requiring specialization in congregational development and transformation. No matter where they have lived, however, they still regard Ohio as their home state, and are delighted to be returning home.
