The Path of Study and Prayer
XVI: A study focusing on the men and women featured in eight different sections of the Bible. Each week, a student volunteer will present highlights of a chosen Biblical character from that week’s reading. The group will then discuss that character. The entire scope of Scripture will be covered in 16 class sessions. Active participation will be strongly encouraged. Sundays from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Led by Lou Giannelli in room 260.
When I Lay My Isaac Down, a book by Carol Kent, will be central to a discussion of "unshakable faith in unthinkable circumstances". Kent, a frequent speaker at Women of Faith conferences shares the intensely emotional experiences that changed the direction of her family's lives. The class will examine the resulting "transformational power principles" that she outlines. Carolyn Kennedy and Pat Elliot will lead the five week class that begins on April 6.
