New Member Exploration Class

Free Background Check

The Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County will again provide free background checks for anyone who will be involved with children and youth at Southminster. Screening will take place during the Family Barbecue on Sunday, August 27th. Please bring two forms of identification. Contact Kim Catchpole or Erin Dickerson with any questions.

The Impressionist Book Discussion

This class is a biblically based book discussion on the fiction novel The Impressionist. The authors, Tim Clinton and Max Davis, portray characters with real life internal battles that so many face on their way to becoming the masterpiece God intends them to be. A good read for anyone in search of healing and hope that will also encourage, inspire, and challenge…

Sharing a Story of Abuse: Being Vulnerable

This class will be an exploration of ways the church can be a safe healing place. Minimum sign-ups: 5. Nurturing Your Child’s Spirit

This class is for those who have children, who teach children, who care for children. Church Tour

Pat Custer and Marj Lawson, longtime members, will offer a tour of the church, following Worship. Meet them at the Welcome Center for this tour which will take about 45 minutes.

Intergenerational Workshop

The Exploring LOGOS workshop will provide an orientation to the LOGOS program, an intergenerational ministry designed to strengthen relationships, develop disciples and energize churches.  A light dinner will be provided.  Who should attend? Anyone interested in strengthening relationships within our church community. Contact Kim Catchpole to register or call the church office at 433-1810.
