Children

Southminster is a wonderful community for all ages, including children and families, who learn, play, and worship together each week! We would love to have your children join us for any of our activities.

Nursery care (newborn-3yrs): Nursery care is offered on Sunday mornings during Sunday School and worship. Children will be introduced to Bible stories through the Wee Ones curriculum.

Sunday School (8:45 – 9:45AM Sundays)
Location: Room 225
For Preschool and older

In this multi-age Sunday School, children will join together as one class and use the Shine: Being God’s People multiage curriculum. They will be studying stories from the first church and the first families in Genesis. This class will be led by Cindy Battelle and Holly Woods.

Children and Worship (following Children’s Time during Sunday Worship Service)
Location: Room 225
For ages 4 through 3rd grade

Children will hear a biblical story and respond to the story with a variety of mediums. In the event of baptism or communion, children will return to the Sanctuary and sit together. Parents are to pick their children up following worship.

Pastoral Care for children is offered by our pastors and through blessing ministries. We seek to be a congregation that cares for all ages. If we can support your children and family during times of stress or other difficulty, please talk to one of our staff.

The littlest ones will hang out in the nursery while the older kids (usually 3 years and up) play in the CFC.
